As soon as you initiate a secure video call with drCalls.me, the billing process starts. When the second participant joins the call, the clock will start and we record the duration of the active call.
drCalls.me records the start and end time, date of the call, duration and patient information to use in the billing process. Each call has an active duration clock showing on-screen that will appear when both participants join.
Calls are automatically recorded when initiated, and drCalls.me also offers the ability to record additional information both during and post-call through the Manual Billing and Call Case Notes options.
During the call, you can add case notes to record notes for the patient chart and to select the individual billing code appropriate to the call.
drCalls.me will remember your preference for telehealth calls, enabling you to set a default billing code to the current and future calls. You can select the billing code by changing the Province, Practice Area and Billing Code from each of the dropdown lists.
To retain the chosen billing code for future secure video calls, check the checkbox. Future calls will start with your chosen billing codes.
